It’s almost time to get back to the future ladies and gentlemen with Future Music Festival nearly on our doorstep. All that is needed is some loose change and possibly some clothing to make this day incredible. You won’t be needing the Docs DeLorean and a bolt of lightning to kick start the festival with the like of the Chemical Brothers, Steve Aoki, The Subs and Aussie favorites The Presets; Future Music is sure to wear out the soles of your party boots.
Hailing all the way from Brussels in Belgium is the duo Sound of Stereo, who may not have the following of a headlining act, but they sure can bring the party! They have been making simply breathe-taking energetic dance music for what seems like forever at times. From early on in their career they gained the tick of approval from the green doctor aka Dr. Lektroluv and have since been signed to his outstanding label (Lektroluv Records). The boys have an EP dropping on his label on March 14 entitled “Hurricane”. And in all honesty, with a title like that, there is no need for explanation of what it will do to your ears! Below is a mix they have kindly graced us all with which covers genres than from hard hitting techno to curb stomping electro! The tracklist is somewhat of a mystery which can only mean loads of exclusive bombs and tasty delights from the likes of Harvard Bass to Hey Today and of course a sneak peek at Sound of Stereos new EP. So be sure to grab the mix and the EP on March 14 and give your neighbors a firsthand (and preferably loud) lesson in Sound of Stereo!

There's a slam down coming to end this guilt ridden week, and it's with Ernie. Ernie, also often known as Bernie likes to hold spoof events for people looking to party harder than anyone else around. We're not one to doubt [b]Ernie, especially with the inclusion of their Mexican come American party man with "more bounce to the ounce"; Harvard Bass from Teki Latex/DJ Orgasmic's Sound Pellegrino Label. If there ever was a well educated Bass, it was this one.
The busy man (Victor Hugo Ramos) is quite an exciting addition to the house scene whose sound can't really be confined to a specific sounding genre, at least in our words. A fresh scoop of his latest remixes are sophisticatedly extracted from the likes of down-under DJ's; Bag Raiders and the Aston Shuffle. Supporting the man are locals we've very much blabbed on about before including Keen?, Killafornia, Habebe, Wolfie & Danny T. Be sure to listen to some of Harvard after the jump for a dose of what to expect.
Ernie never could really tell us much more, except that "Bernie was a close friend and was a bid advocate for partying whilst; lets say slightly off the planet"

I am just about to end my 6 week stay in the US. Just a quick thanks to LA house music legend Wally Callerio for having me stay the last week, showing me one of Tiger Wood’s houses, and taking me to the shooting range so I could shoot a .357 Magnum. You didn’t need to chant USA, USA, USA while we were there thought? Anyway here are a couple of the musical related highlights of the last 6 weeks.
San Francisco was awesome. James Amato and the crew organized a gig with Green Velvet and Mark Farina which was amazing. I wanted to run off with Green Velvets CD as a souvenir...hahaha. I was thinking maybe he won't notice if I don’t give it back to him after I took it out of the CD player. It was amazing that you could have two such big names playing at the same time on different stages at a gig of only about 1000 people. One guy who was also booked to play the gig was Sticky K. He couldn’t make it in the end but I heard his new Crookers remix the other day and it’s killer!
My gig in LA got shut down before I even got there! Something to do with fire escapes. But warehouse parties are definitely alive and well in LA. I guess I have only heard about Cinespace and Aoki’s parties on Hollywood Boulevard, I had no idea about warehouse parties. I went to one on the south side of LA and I didn’t feel like I was at rave at all. Hahaha. It was a great alternative to going to a club where they have stop serving alcohol at 2am, and didn’t have the dodgy aspects I normally associate with warehouse parties.
This was my song of the tour. I think I have played this song at every gig. It’s not so new so you might already have it. I am still getting a lot of use out of it!
