I'm in love with "I'm in Love"

Don't know why you would, but if you were going to serenade a girl with an electro song with dubstep aspects to it, Foamo's release/remix of "Im in Love" would definitely help settle the deal :) . With the original brought into this world by the Dub Pistols, this remix features sexy, soothing, echoed vocals by Lindy Layton that is overlapped by supportive trumpet cues, dropping into Foamo's signature dubstep sound which we all love. This is a favourite of mine atm, such a touching production. What can I say? I'm in love with "I'm in Love"!

Foamo's Austrtalian tour kicked off on Saturday as Sydney's "Espy" which I'm sure went off. Brisbanians will be blessed with his presence this coming Friday the 9th at Empire and is definitely an event not to be missed!

200 Club?

Today marks a severe hangover and Fridgejet's 200th post. Ah What Happened Thursday Night?
Waking up friday morning was tough. Thursday night Black Candy (their monthly chat out tomorrow!) kept in true style and threw a wicked French Party with the centerpiece undeniably a killer set by local producer Koochie. The big crowd got a solid serving of her tunes as she jammed out behind the decks, a sight that is likely to become increasingly familiar to Brisbane club punters. Those that made the trek to Monastery afterward gave witness to an unscheduled stop in from the most part of the Black Eyed Peas, with Will.I.Am taking to the decks and whipping up a killer party set!

The friendly UK producer and DJ said he finally got around to throwing this one out, so here's the link from the man himself. Usual, clean, Hijack production - a good pick.

Steve Aoki ft [[[Zuper Blahq]] - I'm In The House (Killafornia Edit)
Crazy name from the debut vocalist aside, our home hero Killafornia puts another one of his tasty edit's out, making the tune a little more mixing friendly for the DJ minded.

The Bulgarian vs The Fidgitive - Sorta Gargle
We have very little knowledge about this tune beside the fact that it was made by the two producers in 2008 using Reason 4.0 and Msn Messenger?? They have another one coming soon, see what you think.

JC EDIT - Smoking Kills// Vol 1.
As per usual, JC spins out a sweet mixtape for his loyal fan base and in doing so, promises that another one is not only in the making, but due out soon. Check it out!

Hangin' With Ho-Ju :: Episode 1.

Well, where to start... It's been a crazy old month here at Ho-Ju HQ... With many releases due out soon and my first remix coming up ( a tasty collab with FRIDGEJET fav. WoNK... , I have been kept busy with lots of label duties..... We are just putting the finishing touches to our upcoming DISCO BALLISTIC REMIX EP ....Following on from the success of the original EP from LAZY RICH ( Reached #12 on BEATPORT... ) With remixes by JAY ROBINSON & SUPABEATZ, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, AQUILAGANJA & DIRTY POLITICS...This is already garnering big big support from around the globe from superstar dj's such as FAKE BLOOD, ANDY GEORGE & JAYMO ( RADIO 1 ), KEEN? Now, one of the questions i get asked all the time is... CAN I PLEASE SEND U A DEMO FOR YOUR LABEL...Now obviously this is a daily occurrence for me @ Ho-Ju. However, there are right and wrong ways to go about it...So i thought i would end this months write-up with the right way to do it.. ( or at least the way i like it done )

3 EASY STEPS TO PROPERLY SUBMITTING A DEMO FOR SIGNING...

1. Make sure the track is as close to finished as possible ( the amount of demos i get that are unfinished, unmastered, dodgy sounding bits of music is unbelievable.. DON'T SEND IT OUT TO LABELS UNTIL ITS FINISHED...)
2. Enclose some sort of BIO / INFO on who u r and previous tracks/remixes u have done ( not only does this look professional, but it also gives the label an idea of who they are dealing with...
3. If your track/s do not get signed , please resist the urge to tell them they wouldn't know a good tune when they hear one, and hope they fuckin die... ( As believe it or not i had once.. Dodgy Italian Producer with the initials ALEX P haha )... Chances are they may be interested in one of your future tunes...So thank them and always ask for feedback about your tune... It may help when submitting another tune.....
