Already on their 3rd release, Nu Style Records have taken no time in stomping their foot through the stubborn front door of the record label industry. Turn's out they had another swift punch in mind soon after in their 2nd release, with the final jab hooking our email inbox a few days ago.

If you consider yourself a connoisseur of the Nu Style Records label, congratulations, you'll have a ballpark idea of the sound emitting from NSR003. Like previous releases, the 'new kid on the block' label keeps their EP's nice and diverse, throwing what we can only describe as pure filth, wobble, jackin' house and breakbeat elements into a jam packed offering with a bunch of names you know. The crew called up remix services from the well known Kraymer, Jason Score, Nate Metro and Audius, all of which gave very unique takes on a thumping main room original. The EP depicts the progress Nu Style have gone through since their initiation and we won't deny they have come along way from those early days.

Included is a bonus tune sent over by good friend JC Edit, formulating another Kraymer tune he'd been handed. Seems like that Kraymer guy has a solid work ethic and a pretty damn good sound!

JC EDIT's Back!

We haven't heard all that much from JC lately, but here's a post that proves Tiger Woods 2010 doesn't stop the Brisbane young gun smashing out killer tunes! He's just dropped over his latest remix work, a jacked-up renovation job done on South African young gun Schenk's latest tune 'Stereo Image'. It gives you that signature sound you've probably been missing a bit lately and shows all the progression and knowledge the Brisbane local has gained from his extensive discography.

If you like it maybe you should watch him do what he does best when he closes things up after Pase Rock smashes it out this Thursday @ Empire Middle bar for one of the wildest Black Candy nights yet. I wouldn't miss it or the tune sitting below, so do both and thank JC Edit for the good work!

200 Club?

Today marks a severe hangover and Fridgejet's 200th post. For the debatable occasion, we've decided to do something different and throw a bit of everything in, some chat, a give away, a few tunes, a mixtape or two for the weekend and even some pics and video's if you can't remember what's happened lately. Ah What Happened Thursday Night?
Waking up friday morning was tough. Thursday night Black Candy (their monthly chat out tomorrow!) kept in true style and threw a wicked French Party with the centerpiece undeniably a killer set by local producer Koochie. The big crowd got a solid serving of her tunes as she jammed out behind the decks, a sight that is likely to become increasingly familiar to Brisbane club punters. Those that made the trek to Monastery afterward gave witness to an unscheduled stop in from the most part of the Black Eyed Peas, with Will.I.Am taking to the decks and whipping up a killer party set!

The friendly UK producer and DJ said he finally got around to throwing this one out, so here's the link from the man himself. Usual, clean, Hijack production - a good pick.

Steve Aoki ft [[[Zuper Blahq]] - I'm In The House (Killafornia Edit)
Crazy name from the debut vocalist aside, our home hero Killafornia puts another one of his tasty edit's out, making the tune a little more mixing friendly for the DJ minded.

The Bulgarian vs The Fidgitive - Sorta Gargle
We have very little knowledge about this tune beside the fact that it was made by the two producers in 2008 using Reason 4.0 and Msn Messenger?? They have another one coming soon, see what you think.

JC EDIT - Smoking Kills// Vol 1.
As per usual, JC spins out a sweet mixtape for his loyal fan base and in doing so, promises that another one is not only in the making, but due out soon. Check it out!
