While Monastery resident Danny T tells me the musics this post entails has probably already been blogged about, I say better safe than sorry. Having herd Danny T fill the dance floor at Monastery a few times now, I was eager to see what he had in the works. While he's obviously working hard, a short but worthwhile wait will be needed to see just how good the Brissy boy has become recently. But lets be honest here, Stereosonics organisers put him in a time slot only beaten by them two dudes from ahhh, errr... Italy? The Crookers or something :) Well you just can't complain with that Danny! While his twist on 'Hear Again' will sound familiar and 'Dip Dip' has plenty of Danny T style, Popcorn is a little more tech orientated but works very well. Check his shit out now so you can say you liked him before everyone did.

Don Diablo and Noisia Mixing

This week In The Mix got in the Queensland spirit of Stereosonic and shouted out to one of the many international visitors making the trek to the sunny state. Don Diablo makes the journey from Holland to tear up the decks at all the stops of Stereosonic 2008 and with his big room bass style and constant fan appeal it looks like he will get a few people sweating. The song ITM pumped out is Mr Diablo's fairly well played banger, 'Hooligans Never Surrender'. Noisia's remix is slightly shy of the original, but turns out its favored over at In The Mix, with the static heavy beat making its way in as the weekly download over the original... controversial but enjoy :)

P.S - as I was writing this, I noticed a mini mix that Don threw up from Winter 2008 and it was not to bad, snap that link up and jump on his myspace for more music!

Fair Justice ??

Seems that the Justice boys are up to a fair bit, or a whole lot of nothing if you actually believe the photo circulating around the blogosphere currently. The photo shows the guys playing unplugged, presumably on a set during their recent US tour. The image surfaced earlier today on Tech Funk Manifesto which you can view at the previous link. While the photo is strange at first glance, Gaspard Auge responded relatively quickly with a very logical and simple explanation:

“Yeah, shit happens! I remember the story, I couldn’t remember the city but i think it was in Manchester. I didn’t noticed at first, because as you can see i was looking at the computer to launch the next vocal hook and right after i realised that the blue screen went black, so there was no way possible it could work, so i plugged it back in, big deal! and the next thing you know is this picture.” 

Aside from the pointless allegations, November 24th has the techno gods summarising their antics in a documentary set for release. 'A Cross The Universe' has some serious big name backing - with Ed Banger Records and Because Music presenting the film, which showcases the music, the highs and the lows of touring with the Justice freight train. Developed by Justice in conjunction with Romain Gavras and So-Me, the film (if the trailer is truly indicative) is a wild ride that keeps the cameras rolling even if it gets a little ugly.
