Along with a scattered array of unconfirmed statements and photographs of the two groups wandering through secluded parks and beaches, an audio clip has emerged of the two heavy hitting internationals to further prove the scenario. Who you might ask? Mightyfools and Sharkslayer. Yep, thats right. On their massive Australian tour, the duo have hit it off and celebrated by pushing out 'Devils Marbles', the lovechild collaboration if you must. It's all been done via the great people at LektroLuv (just hit the link to pay them a visit) and they sent us over the link for free distribution! It took a nasty Sunday hangover to inspire the mixed-up sounds of the MightyFools’ newest release on LA-based Potty Mouth Music. The two tracks juxtaposed on “Worse Than Yesterday EP” (PMM031) pair reverb and stabbing synths with the kind of peak hour rave influences Andy Samin and Jelle Keizer do best. The result is a versatile, two-track EP that melds influences of house, electro and techno into one party-centric package.

Following up on their 2008 success of “Who Da Fool?”(PMM013), MightyFools return after a year of touring Australia, Europe and most recently, the U.S. While their DJ influences include marquee artists including A-Trak, Boys Noize, Tiga and Busy P, their studio work has taken on the more muted influences of funk and soul as of late.

“It has that special thing that we try to put into our music as well,” says Keizer.

On their latest EP, MightyFools again bring their vibe of music diversity to the dance floor with “Worse Than Yesterday.” The title track pulses as a heavy rave track for peak-hour sets, inspiring chaotic twists and what Keizer calls “crowd destroying sounds.” “Clean It” echoes the duo’s earlier PMM release, combining hip-hop vocal drops with analog synth stabs to create a pounding, effected out track that pulses with gruff groove.

Recently much was thrown about regarding the current dubstep trend, a very similar movement to the one into fidget house a number of years ago. Whatever the reasons, its producing a new sounding music that the masses are demanding - and to cope with the demand? The DJ's have upped the supply. While the traditional juggernauts of dubstep will remain constant, the style is been splashed around by many other artists. Dem Slackers (remember the name they are amazing) often lay a little dub tep into their tunes, but throw in a variety of sounds that always seem to compliment each other. They are sitting on the back of a slightly delayed 'Joker' EP release which could not be passed by on Beatport, a true showcase of their current skill and a compliment to their style. Well, on offer is not the Joker EP but rather their latest work on the new Mightyfools release, 'Amsterdam'. You guessed it, they drop dub! Potty Mouth Records, for those of you who haven't heard us rave about them time and time before, are a collective of (in our opinion) the best artist in the world. The likes of Santiago & Bushido, Electric Soulside, Kelevra, Chris James & Lee Dearn and Australia's very own Adam Bozzetto all hold residency with the label - making it one of the most recognised music labels in the world. Further more, they have decided to send two of their troopers into battle at the Monastery this Friday (3rd of April) and it turns out its none other than Adam Bozzetto (SYD) and Chris James (UK). With Bozzetto banging out a string of highly successful remixes and original efforts, he's become quite the popular guy around town these days, headlining WHAM! and popping his name up at a wide array of national and international gigs. Always the nice guy, he happily sent through two tracks, an original (post-release) and remix (pre-release) just to make sure everyone had a fair idea of why they HAVE to make the trek into Monastery come friday evening. Never the one to dissapoint, Chris James too has had is fair share of success, tearing around the globe and prepping up for his Australian debut this friday. Having developed a very succesful relationship with Lee Dearn, his production efforts have seen him skyrocket upwards. You all would of heard Torcida Cumbia (and the very impressive Mightyfools remix) and his other work does not fall short.
