One Man Party, better known as the drummer from Soulwax, is what many would call a modern day hero. Not only does he travel the world with his friends making people happy, but he also does it on his own, spinning increasingly eclectic sets around the globe. Inspired by prominent 80's and 90's genres like new beat, rave, acid house and techno, One Man Party sure knows how to please the masses. Influenced by guys like 2 Many DJ's and Erol Alkan, its pretty obvious to anyone with reasonable knowledge his sets are going to pack a punch. What makes us particularly happy about One Man Party/The Crazy Soulwax Drummer/Steve Slingeneyer's amazing talents and success, is that he's decided to do what most big names do and pop into Black Candy! Ohh dear... don't plan anything the following day kids.

Still stirring up killer mixes in the depths of Monastery, Birdee's and other premium joints around town, the duo that is Fingajigg haven't stopped making waves since they broke the scene. Showing their capabilities spread much further than mixing up a storm, the guys have just shot out a nice little bootleg for the fans to enjoy and its definitely worth the download. Mono Magic

Amidst the countless DJ's and producers working in the burgeoning Chicago house scene, Santiago and Bushido stand apart from the rest with their unique blend of tech-tinged house beats and killer remixes that are becoming quite the sought-after commodity. Since teaming up as a production duo in 2003, Chris Santiago and Tim Bush have dropped numerous EP's and remixes on some of the most well respected labels around including Potty Mouth, Om, Ultra, generating a significant following in the process. Their unique sound and flawless DJ sets have helped to establish Santiago & Bushido as one of the premier acts in dance music today.

Even better than their current status is the fact that the duo are currently touring Australia, with a stop planned at Monastery Nightclub on September 18th (hit for event details). The nights set to be absolutely huge with the Chicago boys sitting on the back of multiple releases, including the awesome UWLMF EP on Potty Mouth Music. Monastery are bringing in a crew of support too in Danny T (ITM #9), Wongo, Killafornia and Fingajigg, making it one of the best line up's about! Don't be square, this will be a good one. Noy's The Man!

From juggling a plethora of sets, spinning consistantly good mixtapes and getting huge rowdy crowds sweating till the early hours of the morning - NOY sounds like a god damn circus on paper. We all know the friendly guy and he's got a ripper following in Brisbane, consistently found pulling tracks from his sleeves in the bass-ridden labyrinth that is Monastery. We won't rave on about the fact that it's one of our favorite clubs, but the place has got the best residents in Brisbane (that was not a referral to any standings in the 'ITM Top 50 Popularity Contest', but I guess they are just straight up cool cats? Speaking of which, NOY has his feature night there tomorrow, in which he personally promises to bring all the madness from under the big top, channel it through the monitor speakers and smack the crowd around for what will be a HUGE and unpleasant experience... come the next morning. If you just can't wait to hear whats in store for you, he's just dropped a 2 part mixtape series (work yourself up on the first, chill out on the second), a fitting placement for the commute two and from work before you check him tomorrow night!

Arty Beetroots?

The Bloody Beetroots just opened an art gallery/store in Hong Kong. Really? Really!

The two lads have teamed up with Italian artist Turbokrapfen to kick off the 55DSL TemporART store and judging by the pic's the place is pretty damn smooth. As you can see in the shots, there's going to be a bunch of limited edition 55DSL/The Bloody Beetroots/Turbokrapfen windcheaters which we would consider an essential for any diehard fan. Good Luck, them fu$%ers are goin' quick!

It's amazing the transformation some artists are rendered through in their up-bringing. While preparing ourselves for the screams and punches in the air, we would love to use Bloody Beetroots as a perfect example of this. Even more fitting is the fact that they just finished jamming Australian's ears with a sold out tour that tore clubs down (we're very close to saying that in a literal sense). Contrast this to a year ago when the same two masked men walked into Brisbane and played Monastery (a club 1/6 the size of Family) to a semi-packed, albeit just as passionate crowd, and the difference is laughable. While it's semi-annoying that millions of long term die hard Bloody Beetroots fans popped up out of nowhere (thanks Cornelious/WARP), it's a tribute to just how smart the two crazy lads are. Don't forget their new album 'Romborama' will be floating 'round August 21'st - GET IT!

JC EDIT is still stepping up his game when it comes to original production work, with his latest effort twisting his style a touch to add that wobble everyone loves. Just off the back of playing alongside Jesse Rose and Oliver $, JC is fronting up to Mono this thursday night alongside the very famed Zombie Disco Squad - so there's your chance to check him out!

The always creative and original Monastery resident JMAC has just thrown a fresh mix together in time for his appearance this Friday alongside Don Rimini. I was probably meant to write 'Let Me Back Up' in brackets after that so everyone who doesn't have a clue gets one about who he is, but let us tell you, he is big.
