With one superbly received EP (Southern Fried Records) and remixes for Trevor Loveys & Sinden, Young Punx, Crookers, Tonka, Laidback Luke & Diplo, the South-Coast based trio Black Noise have pricked some serious interest in recent months and with their next EP close, it seems there’s much more to come.

Southern Fried Records have just authorised the release of their massive remix of Crookers, wobbly bass in full effect, as "Business Man" feat Wiley & Thomas Jules gets some serious treatment! Alongside the awesome Crookers remix attached, check out the mental bit of audiovisual entertainment above (the clip for one of the original tracks on the 'EP2' release) and grab the Black Noise 'Slash N Burn' (October 2009) mix!

B.Rich Dubstep!

Florida MC 'BC' (The Black Child?) has just dropped his debut solo conceptual album 'Time Capsule: Part 1' and is breaking and spitting out some serious waves. The release is all thanks to Peripheral Records and to keep the fun going they have given Fridgejet favorite B.Rich permission to release his dubstep take on 'This Is Not A Song'. He's proved to us time and time again that you can't expect anything short of amazing when you nab one of his tunes and we promise this is no exception. We suggest you grab the remix quickly, check out 'Time Capsule: Part 1' right here and shoot props over to BC for kicking things off with a bang!

It feels like forever since we have talked about this UK DJ and producer, but maybe that's just because we talk about him a hell of a lot. Consider this segment merely touching base, with a more comprehensive write up on his latest EP coming out next week for all to enjoy. The purpose of this post? To give you all a streamable Timoshii treat coming in the form of his remix for Dopefish, which dropped on Beatport yesterday. Check it out and nab the tune here if you like!

Digging Nu-Skool Breaks?

OG (Owain Griffiths) is a Manchester based producer and DJ with a long running show on NuSkoolBreaks Radio and previous remixes of Emmet, Roots Manuva and even Biggie Smalls under his belt. His new EP "Bubbling" is chock full of grimy bass, tight rhythms and a spacey vibe, out tomorrow on Midnight Minus Two.

Arty Beetroots?

The Bloody Beetroots just opened an art gallery/store in Hong Kong. Really? Really!

The two lads have teamed up with Italian artist Turbokrapfen to kick off the 55DSL TemporART store and judging by the pic's the place is pretty damn smooth. As you can see in the shots, there's going to be a bunch of limited edition 55DSL/The Bloody Beetroots/Turbokrapfen windcheaters which we would consider an essential for any diehard fan. Good Luck, them fu$%ers are goin' quick!

It's amazing the transformation some artists are rendered through in their up-bringing. While preparing ourselves for the screams and punches in the air, we would love to use Bloody Beetroots as a perfect example of this. Even more fitting is the fact that they just finished jamming Australian's ears with a sold out tour that tore clubs down (we're very close to saying that in a literal sense). Contrast this to a year ago when the same two masked men walked into Brisbane and played Monastery (a club 1/6 the size of Family) to a semi-packed, albeit just as passionate crowd, and the difference is laughable. While it's semi-annoying that millions of long term die hard Bloody Beetroots fans popped up out of nowhere (thanks Cornelious/WARP), it's a tribute to just how smart the two crazy lads are. Don't forget their new album 'Romborama' will be floating 'round August 21'st - GET IT!

With Dim Mak establishing itself as one of the biggest party labels of late, its to no surprise that the clothing line has been doing better than ever. With Bob, Tommy (Bloody Beetroots), Steve (Aoki) and Cobrasnake currently playing seek and destroy on every good club in Europe during their 2009 tour, the gear is getting worldwide exposure. Incorporating art based, sketch-like animations, the shirts are refreshing and consistently of a high quality. Huge 2009?

While they remain two of my favorite producers of all time, The Bloody Beetroots almost did a hit and run in 2008. A plethora of tracks suddenly opened up and gave the world a taste of what they were all about and upon the positive response, it was an all out war. The Bloody Beetroots went on a rampage, remixing everyone from The Kills and Robyn to Timbaland and LA Riots - all with amazing feedback. Now? Well it's a little quiet around France. Maybe its the fact that, like The Crookers, they just simply couldn't keep up that level of production and maintain a hectic touring schedule? Wrong, they can and they are. The Bloody Beetroots just dropped a teaser mix of what they have coming in 2009. Holy shit! (check out the track list - fresh)

FridgeJet's December Christmas 3!

This months top three, while still delivering excellent performances by outstanding artists, may have been a little rushed due to Christmas commitments. That aside, it became evident that artists and producers may have the smallest holidays bar none, considering some of the EP work the UK fidget boys have got coming up (see what Calvertron and Heavyfeet are up to). Heavyfeet claim they are 'entering studio hibernation soon' which is a prize for all of us in the new year. Aside from that, Kelevra (UK again) is also throwing out Christmas cheer having just recently released his Clean Jeans EP via FridgeJets favourite label - Potty Mouth Records. Forget that, more about Kelevra later, here's the top three!

The Italian boys have been throwing together mixes for awhile and have plenty more to come, but this one caught my ear pretty well. Its racy like a Superbeatz song, its got a catchy sound and never shows any signs of weakness. What's more, the almighty (in my mind) Bloody Beetroots remixed 'Sexo Perfecto', the Supabeatz original - which makes them even better somehow!

2. The Bloody Beetroots - Cornelius (thanks !Tashed)

Favorite DJ's therefore minimal description required. The Bloody Beetroots distinctive, hard charged sound skyrocketed their worldwide popularity, further enhance by the release of their highly anticipated EP, 'Rombo'. Pushing out remixes of The Kills, Robyn, MSTRKFT and The Crookers scribbled their distinctive style all over the scene and forced people to love them. 'Cornelius' is just what you would expect from a late 2008 EP offering from some of the best DJ's out of Italy (tied with Crookers?). To top it off, Bob Rifo compiled 'The Death of Cornelius', a musical reflection on the creation of the relatively mysteriously produced track (which Techijo went on to remix!). 3. Kelevra & Nathan Boon - Like To Freak (Thanks Redthreat)

Kelevra is absolutely killing it at the moment. I pulled this one from Redthreat after they were kind enough to throw Kelevra's EP up earlier in the month. The EP features remixes from DJ BamBam and Kyle Watson and is a full banger. Not only that, but the UK madman put together an excellent Potty Mouth mixtape, 'Midnight - 6am' (Dec 2008). Killer track selection and Kelevras 'cant fake it' style makes it worth the transfer to CD for a residency in your car.

Honourable Mention:

A mention must go to just one more UK killer, Hijack, who as promised has completed weekly mixes for the last three weeks. His third installment came through two days ago and is one of the better mixtapes I have set on repeat. Surprising considering he's doing them weekly. Christmas Cheer (A year late)

While I feel like a bit of a fool throwing a track up with a modified date of 30.12.07 onto Fridge Jet, the relatively late arrival is defiantly worth a listen (perhaps in a more comical nature).

Turns out late last december Bob Rifo (Bloody Beetroots) and Phra (Crookers) hit the drinks then stumbled towards the decks and produced a 'DrunkenBathroomMix' which is a tasty little mix-tape considering the boys probably couldn't see the pitch control. While I doubt the 'Bloody Crookers' will release anything else anytime soon, its a good time warp to hear the songs these two super-giants were twisting out a year ago (and its not like they don't enjoy playing together!). Pay it a listen and visit the boys sites!

'Sir Cornelius'

If their remix of Cobrastyle is any indication of their current form, The Bloody Beetroots are kicking off the summer of 2008 pretty well. They have just thrown out a minimalist trailer to throw a bit of hype around for the duo's new track 'Cornelius'. December 18th is the set date, with anticipation surely high among fans. Check the trailer out if you want to, but get excited.

FridgeJet's Top 3 - November #1

Woah - the guys and girls over at penned madness have managed to produce a triple threat this early in the month! 

What do I do....

... hold out in anticipation for the Crookers to magically twist out a mash up of Sawtooth Sucka and Foamo, or throw it all on the line and make the call for the three best songs of November only four days into the journey? Fine Penned Madness, i'll do six this month! So what's so great about these three I hear you ask. Well the Bloody Beetroots twist out a relaxing, down tempo and lyrical 'butter' styled track while Misio puts his twist on the decibel blaring DJ Barletta. Finally, neOn smashes 'Fukt' to a pretty impressive dimension.
