With one superbly received EP (Southern Fried Records) and remixes for Trevor Loveys & Sinden, Young Punx, Crookers, Tonka, Laidback Luke & Diplo, the South-Coast based trio Black Noise have pricked some serious interest in recent months and with their next EP close, it seems there’s much more to come.

Southern Fried Records have just authorised the release of their massive remix of Crookers, wobbly bass in full effect, as "Business Man" feat Wiley & Thomas Jules gets some serious treatment! Florida MC 'BC' (The Black Child?) has just dropped his debut solo conceptual album 'Time Capsule: Part 1' and is breaking and spitting out some serious waves. The release is all thanks to Peripheral Records and to keep the fun going they have given Fridgejet favorite B.Rich permission to release his dubstep take on 'This Is Not A Song'. He's proved to us time and time again that you can't expect anything short of amazing when you nab one of his tunes and we promise this is no exception. We suggest you grab the remix quickly, check out 'Time Capsule: Part 1' right here and shoot props over to BC for kicking things off with a bang!

It feels like forever since we have talked about this UK DJ and producer, but maybe that's just because we talk about him a hell of a lot. Consider this segment merely touching base, with a more comprehensive write up on his latest EP coming out next week for all to enjoy. The purpose of this post? To give you all a streamable Timoshii treat coming in the form of his remix for Dopefish, which dropped on Beatport yesterday. Check it out and nab the tune here if you like!

Digging Nu-Skool Breaks?

OG (Owain Griffiths) is a Manchester based producer and DJ with a long running show on NuSkoolBreaks Radio and previous remixes of Emmet, Roots Manuva and even Biggie Smalls under his belt. His new EP "Bubbling" is chock full of grimy bass, tight rhythms and a spacey vibe, out tomorrow on Midnight Minus Two.

What's Hot?

Considering we've spent a bunch of time connecting with a cool load of people who are obviously interested in blogs, we've decided to compile a little top three today to help you out in your future quests for good tunes. We'd be agreeing and smiling politely if you were to tell us its any ones best guess what 'cool' is, but let this list serve purpose as our take on the best three blogs out there at the moment. Where hoping this serving doesn't blow your mind and get you wildly addicted to the well-composed and very established sites your about to be exposed to, but if it does, be sure to pop back into the Fridge once in awhile! Our criteria was pretty damn simple. How much good music do they post? How often do they post it? And how well the artists we're acknowledged. Here's our take, we hope you like!
1. You Can Call Me Pelski
We actually do! While we've unfortunately maintained very little contact with the scenester over the past year, it's impossible to put him anywhere other than the top spot in conjuring up this list. His taste in music spans endlessly, with only one consistent rule - 'no throw away rubbish'. He doesn't care much for the fad genres either, evident in the diverse and comprehensive artist list he has built up over the past years. Every now and then a 'Pelski Highly Recommends Chart' pops up, sort of like his scripting into a continuing bible of the best dance tracks in the world. It's not the shit you see clogging up Aria charts, but the well produced, intricate work of those artists who just 'have it', irrelevant of their 'social status'. We're not going to say Pelski has the rest of the list completely covered, but when it comes to select offerings of amazing music with write ups to match, he's doin' pretty damn good (he's even got his own clothing line). He just recently handed half of his work over to a protege under the alias 'Charles Darkley' (who happened to kick things off with a sick mixtape, get it here) and has just dropped his latest Pelski Playlist! Here's our favorite tune from the bunch, but be sure to get the rest right here, this guy is dope! This sucka's a rework by a guy named DJ Punish on one of our favorite producers out at the moment - Alvaro. Make sure you thank Pelski!

2. Palms Out Sounds
These guys don't need introductions or spiels. They've been around the block for ages (2005 to be exact) and they have kicked off what was once a small project into a very profitable and successful site, branched off into Palms Out Sounds Records. Sure, they might have turned into the blogospheres version of a money making machine, but the crew have kept it real and continue to deliver quality rounds of tunes in a friendly manner that's got their readership well upwards of the roof. They seem to have quietened things up a bit in August on the blog side of things, but that can be easily attributed to the hectic workings behind a record label (which has spat names out like Norrit, AC Slater & our much loved B. Rich). Regardless, here's a little sample of what the team have provided lately, bit of different, dirty summer fun. If you like it, make sure you make visiting them a regular thing, just like us yeh?

3. Disturbed Beats

We could sit here and chat about Disturbed Beats for days. Their just straight up cool. They deliver a bunch of style out of the UK and have a very prominent following in Australia too, maybe put down to their continued work with the crazy Wongo. They deliver funky tunes and we'd best describe the overall feel as 'jackin' when it comes to snapping tracks off their page. The team behind it also have a really cool exclusive mix set series (top left of the link) going on, and smash out some awesome and informative work. We find that we just can't stop going back there, just to keep up on the scene and all that, you know? :) Check out a little taste from the team lately, drop them a line and blow them kisses for the good music!

That concludes our little 'podium ranking' of blogs at the moment. Before you shoot us a recommendation about a blog we must have surely 'missed' because it is clearly better than one or more of our choices, we had about 20 that all deserved a mention but it's just that tough! Since then you'd say he's kicked it all around town and if he started spieling about how many big names he's hung with, boy you'd have some listening to do. We've featured a tonne of his tunes in the past and we're pretty sure you may have missed out on one or two, so once you're done here jump back to our previous posts on him. On this occasion however, we're here to bring his latest remix work on LA Hip Hop & RnB producer/songwriter Mr. J. Medeiros which caught our eye. Crank Up Yo Radio!

It seems lately that alternative areas surrounding the nightlife culture are starting to take off, perhaps evident by the introduction of pod casts and tailored radio shows for all those late night fans. Turns out the 'electro alternative' scene is shifting towards the main stream (think of all them new age shitty sounding electro pop songs), which holds some peril for the expectations of artists but also throws them a whole new book of opportunities. Radio sets, podcast appearances and more... there's plenty of ways to throw a name out there these days. B. Rich just spent some time recording a live 2 hour set in the Pittsburgh studios, taking a stroll through his vinyl collection and giving everyone something to smile too. We love the set, and we listened to the whole thing!

Gettin' Rich

Our main man from Massachusetts, B. Rich, picked up our acquaintance quite awhile back as he was learning his feet and getting into the production game. Even back then, the snappy works he sent us (check the back post here) signaled that big things were coming and considering he was cruising round town with his two best mates AC Slater and Udachi... things were bound to go well, and here we are. Half a year down the track and a bunch of EP's and jam-packed shows later, we've got a trendy little serving from the busy man. This time, he runs a dubstep tune thats got promise, even if you rolled your eyes when you read that! 'We Ball Harder' was due for EP release (Party Like Us Records link here) but things got a little murky, so he's given us the go ahead and we're throwing it out for everyone to enjoy!

Geoff K:

Coming from the South African posse, where boys like Kyle Watson, Royal K and Dylan H run wild, Geoff K had his work cut out for him. Surrounded by all ages, young and old, it seemed that every production effort stemming from that place was well above par - especially his very own. Geoff K has completed diplomas in sound engineering and gained multiple certificates on various production applications, all driven by a massive passion for music. His time spent in the studio has seen him complete some amazing productions from over the years, remixing everyone from Raymond Mathers to Jimmy Chronic and Troydon, and getting signed to just about every label about. His new mixtape, just completed, gives 60 minutes of his favorites, and boy is it worth it. Two tracks for you two, bootlegs Geoff K has done, nothing fresh - but a taste of his production!

Wongo:

We all know who Wongo is - the mad man from the Gold Coast who can more often than not be found tearing up the UK with the best in the business. That said, we weren't going to pass up the chance to throw his latest tape up here - especially after his recent EP - which we all loved. With this mix, Wongo said he was kicking it into gear and getting back to the true style of Jackin' House and Techno (which after hearing the tape, we definatly cant argue with). He also dropped mention that the hardcore scene is getting a little overwhelmed and to be honest, maybe he's right.
