Wham Bam Shazam! (ITM)

Sure, we threw away the genre constraints that we so openly admit limit Fridgejet's broad minded constraints, but Shazam is just too feel good not to! Like always In The Mix dropped their weekly free download fresh out every monday and this week it was from Perth producer Shazam. With his 'Pool Party' EP just dropped via the very popular Bang Gang 12 Inches label, it was just too hard to pass up. Pool Party was one of our favorite songs to drink a Corona by the pool in late 2008 and with its official release passing now, this had to grab a mention! 'Luckier' is a very downtempo feel good, disco styled song, and its evident that Shazam has had plenty of practice in his producing efforts, having spent the past year remixing the likes of Muscles (which made it onto Digitalism's Kitsune Tabloid mix back in '08) and obviously working on his production, its good to see the EP drop! Check it out and jump on and buy the EP HERE.

InTheMix with Gang Bangers

Not quite, but  definitely in the hood considering Melbourne's Damn Arms are pushing nice tracks out on Bang Gang 12 Inches. January marks the release of their first single on the label and its looking to be good. Like always, In The Mix has the hook ups and throws it up for everyone exclusively for one week only. Check out what they have to say and snap it up ASAP!

Wake Up - It's here!

This week, In The Mix gave the royalities to Melbourne boyfriend/girlfriend duo ZZZ. Somehow, their catchy music is described as a mix of shoegaze, live electronics and melodramatic pop song - but it just turns out to be all fun. Very different to the usual Fridge Jet material, but worth a shout out, especially considering it came out on Bang Gang Inches! Jump on ZZZ's myspace and if you like the track, snap up their EP out now.

A Few Days Late For Brisbane

Just days after Knife Machine tore up the decks at GPO, In the Mix posted a sweet remix of theirs very worth a listen. Knife Machine worked their magic on 'The Bismark', a track off the very anticipated debut album from the Lost Valentino's. Of course, the track holds all the reason Knife Machine are shooting upwards and was pumped out on Bang Gang 12'' - giving it all the more 'class' if your tossing up a listen :) Oh, and make sure you check out the sidebar for everything Knife Machine and Gang Bang 12''s related!

More Bangin' (ITM)

Who can deny the forward momentum the Bang Gang Deejays are rolling with at the moment. While I'm not here to reword what i said only a few weeks ago about the energetic crew, I will throw some more of their goodness down your throat, just as ITM managed to do to me with their weekly offering. Don't worry, the boys and girls over at ITM still have spark and they picked a goody to lend us for the week :) Bang Gangs 'E is for Edit' on the Presets popular single 'Kicking and Screaming' adds a nice dirty aftertaste, perfect to get the big room going. Oh, and yeh i know, stoney roads and deckhead got it out before me.

The Big Bang

Dangerous Dan, Ajax, DJ Damage, Gus Da Hoodrat, Double Nolan and Jamie Doom all satisfy the criteria for successful independent DJ's. Turns out their collective pool of talents isn't too bad either, with this festival worthy lineup all calling themselves the Bang Gang Deejays. For anyone without a reason to love them, the collective have just released a two disk album - 'D is For Disco, E is For Dancing' and if the swarm of mini-mix's and live sets Bang Gang have released are any indication, the new disk set could be just what they need to rocket to the top. With their upcoming album tour, the likes of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will be able to experience the energised outfit in all their form. As you can tell from the promo mix below, there's a lot to be excited about with the new release, available here... or even here.
